There are serious delays on the Dublin to Sligo rail line this evening due to an incident in the capital.
A man was fatally struck near the Coolmine train station at about 3 o’clock this afternoon.
As a result train services between Dublin and Maynooth were suspended for a time and a knock on effect is expected for trains travelling on to the west.
Irish Rail spokesperson Barry Kenny confirmed to Ocean FM that passengers travelling to Sligo will be affected:
