Critically ill children in the north west will have access to a new ambulance service early in the New Year.
The Bumbleance is a children’s ambulance service set up and piloted in 2013 to transport sick children from remote areas to hospitals in Dublin.
It was set up by Tony Heffernan from Dingle in Kerry who’s two children Saoirse and Liam passed away in the last five years.
He says travelling up and down to Dublin was always a challenge.
