Works on Sligo roads to prevent flooding



Minor works to prevent drastic flooding on roads in Sligo this winter are continuing.

The R284 Ballygawley to Carraroe road will be closed from Tuesday until Thursday of next week.

The Council is working to raise the road near the lake outside Ballygawley at the junction with Union Wood.

Last November this road along with a number of others was badly flooded making the road impassable.

Work has also been carried out to improve drainage on the Balliodare to Collooney road and in the Collooney area.
