The Minister for Agriculture is urging farm families to remain vigilant on farms this weekend.
The issue of farm safety was raised at a Women and Agriculture conference in Sligo this week.
The Irish farmers Association had stands with leaflets on farm safety.
Speaking at the conference, the Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed urged farmers to look to their neighbours farms in particular in an effort to increase safety:
