Sligo RFC U10s enjoy Ballina blitz

Sligo’s U10 boys travelled to neighbours Ballina RFC on Sat morning
22nd Oct for the Annual Aviva Connacht Blitz.

The faced their counterparts from Westport RFC in their 1st game
followed by games against Loughrea, Corinthians & Claremorris RFC. The
boys played exceptionally well resulting in 4 wins from 4.

The lads passed and moved the ball well and tackled like trojans when
they needed to.

The Sligo u12s girls also attended the Aviva blitz in Ballina on
Saturday. The squad of 16 included 6 players who had never played at a
blitz before.  While  the team faced strong competition in all 4 games
they acquitted themselves admirably.  They achieved this by playing a
sparkling brand of running and offloading rugby which resulted in some
wonderful team tries.

The emphasis on the day was fun and both the lads & ladies really did
enjoy themselves. Well done to all.
