58 people arrested in Donegal

58 people were arrested in Donegal over the weekend on a variety of offences, including drink driving and public order offences.

The annual Donegal International Rally was taking palce in Letterkenny when the arrests were made.

Three of those arrested appeared in court on Monday while the remaining 55 cases will be heard at a special sitting of Letterkenny District Court on July 4th.

Mayor of Letterkenny Municipal District, councillor James Pat McDaid said the arrests were disappointing but does not reflect the real Rally fans.
