A Sligo councillor says people walking between Ballymote and two factories outside the town are in a situation where there’s “an accident waiting to happen.”
Fianna Fail Councillor Keith Henry is the latest councillor to call for an extension of a footpath and lighting out the R296 from the town.
He says the road is used by many people working in the factories.
