County Council continuing to monitor Strandhill development

Sligo County Council says it will continue to monitor a development in Strandhill involving the construction of 34 new homes.

The planning application for the development was initially received by the council in 2006.

At present works are stopped on the site.

The council says it is in discussions with the developer regarding compliance with conditions and it has issued a letter outlinig outstanding matters.

These include footpaths, services, archaeology and landscaping.

The council adds it is satisfied with the developer’s proposals in relation to a number of conditions.

The 34 residential units proposed include 18 two-storey terrace houses, two semi-detached two-storey houses and 14 apartments in two-storey blocks.
