Bus Eireann says ‘no need for concern’ over seats

A Bus Eireann spokesperson says there is no need for concern about school pupils who hold so-called concessionary tickets not getting seats on buses in the new school term.

There has been concern that this might happen because of a downsizing of school buses, resulting in fewer seats available.

Nicola Cooke, media and PR manager for Bus Eireann, told Ocean FM News that school buses are filled with eligible pupils . . and after that tickets are sold to concessionary pupils.
