Killybegs fishermen welcome penalty points decision



The Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation has welcomed the decision of the new Minister for Agriculture, Food and Marine, Michael Creed, not to proceed with a new penalty points system for fishermen.

It has now been confirmed that the pejnalty points will apply only after court conviction.

CEO of the Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation Sean O Donohue, says this was a fundamental principle fishermen wanted to see applied.
