18 people on hospital trolleys in north west



There are 18 people on trolleys in the North West’s hospitals today.

That’s made up of 17 in Sligo and one in Letterkenny.

In the country overall, the number of patients waiting for hospital beds is back up to almost 300.

299 patients are on trolleys or in hospital wards, waiting for admission.

The worst overcrowding is being reported today at Tallaght Hospital, with 31, the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise with 29 on trolleys and South Tipperary General Hospital with 27.
