Three submissions made to host GAA homecoming

Submissions have been made by Donegal Town, Bundoran and Letterkenny to host the homecoming event for the Donegal Senior Football team in the aftermath of the All Ireland Final on September 23rd.

 

The GAA County Executive in Donegal this morning intervened in the debate over where a homecoming event will take place.

 

The executive says in conjunction with the senior team management and players, they will decide on the issue of a homecoming.

 

The statement goes onto say that talks of a homecoming at this point are entirely premature and the focus should be on match preparation rather than events after the final.

 

Secretary of the Donegal GAA county board, Aodh Mairtin O' Fearraigh says the issue is strictly a matter for the county management committee in conjunction with team management and players.
