Sligo to host LGBT Parade

The 7th Annual Northwest LGBT Pride Parade is set to take place in Sligo this weekend.

The event is part of an annual festival of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and LGBT-friendly individuals from the North-west and surrounding areas of Ireland, including Sligo, Donegal, Leitrim and beyond.

The parade will take place this Saturday, leaving City Hall in Sligo at 3pm

PRO of the North-West LGBT Organisation, Izzy O’ Rourke says the parade is important step in overcoming the challenges LGBT people face.
