Glenamaddy Summer Fest Cycle will take place on Sunday, August 12th, in aid of the Galway Hospice Foundation and the Glenamaddy Festival.
The 40km Challenge will take participants to Creggs, through Glinsk and towards Ballymoe, emerging at Knockogonnell, finally taking the main road home past Kilsallagh and Ardeevin. It is a quiet route with some lovely scenery as it passes local treasures like the Glenamaddy Turlough, Kilbegnet Church and Glinsk Castle. Along the route, cyclists will experience the exhilaration of surmounting and descending the hills that they will encounter.
Pre-cycle registration will commence at 10:30 am at the Community Centre. To register for the Glenamaddy Summer Fest Cycle go to www.glenamaddycycle.com. Alternatively call 087 2250875 or pick up a registration form at Donnie Keaveny’s Gift Shop, Church Street, Glenamaddy.
