One hundred and eighty thousand euro in grant aid has been sanctioned for improvement works on island’s off the coast of Donegal.
The Minister of State in the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley announced funding of eighty thusand euro while Donegal County Council will cover the rest of the funding allocation.
The initiative will carry out improvement works for islands and its facilities off the Donegal Coast.
The project will include road restoration work, raising sea walls and installing mooring rings on piers.
Minister McGinley says he is committed to continuing the improvement of facilities for islanders when resources are available.
