Castleconnor festival this weekend

The Castleconnor GAA Club host their second ‘Cow Dung Festival’ this
weekend at the Castleconnor Community Centre and GAA Grounds in
Corballa. On Saturday night the Gerry Guthrie band take to the stage
with support from Pat’s Country Roadshow. On the night a Festival Rose
will be selected, with local businesses being represented.  Full bar
service and shuttle bus service will be available. Admission is €10.
On Sunday at 12 noon a 5k run/walk will commence at the community
centre, with proceeds going to Sligo Hospice. There will be plenty of
activities on for the day at the GAA Grounds with Funky Monkey Kids
Entertainment between 2-5pm. Vintage cars and tractors will be on
display at the grounds for all to view. Inside at the bar the All
Ireland senior hurling championship semi final between Kilkenny and
Tipperary will be shown live on the big screen. The Cow dung bingo
commences at 5.15pm. Squares of the field are a €5 or 5 squares for
€20. It could be a nice investment indeed, and one will be hoping
Betsy the cow drops on your square! Prize fund is €3000. On the day
there will be live music, food and plenty of entertainment for all the
family.
