Carrick runner wins Ballinamore 10K

Clive Clancy of Carrick on Shannon A C won the Ballinamore Festival 10K roadrace sponsored by Waterways Ireland along the banks of the Shannon Erne Waterway last evening.  His time was 35 minutes 38 seconds and he was followed home by Graham Hopkins of Phibsboro A C in 37.50 and team mate Adrian Gurn in 38.30.  Carrick also won the team event.
  
   Aisling Van Rensburg of North Sligo won the Womens race in 39.57 from team mate Una McCool who did 41.37 and Elizabeth McCabe ,also North Sligo, in 43.27. North Sligo won the team award.

    Padraig Hackett of Carrick A C won the 5K in 19.47 from Denis Carroll of Eagle A C of Cork who did 20.24 and Paul Little of Boyle who was third in 20.33.  The Womens’ 5K was won by Anne Burke of Longford in 23.44 from Eilish O Dowd of Ballinamore who finished in 24.25 with Lauren Hackett of Carrick third in 24.56.
