Athletes set for European Games

Two athletes from Sligo and one from Donegal are due to travel to Croatia this afternoon for the 7th European Transplant and Dialysis Games.

Sligo's Bridie Nicholson, Megan Fahy from Toonaphubble and Noel McGeever from Letterkenny are due to fly out at 3.30pm .

The Irish team of 26, ranging in age from 18 to 70-plus, includes 17 men and 9 women, from all over Ireland.

They have all received organ transplants, such as liver, kidney and pancreas, as well as some on dialysis.
